My artistic practice explores the relationship between artwork, architecture, environment, and the people who experience a space. Working primarily through painting, large-scale murals, public art, installations, and custom commissions, I approach each project as an opportunity to transform an existing surface into something with a distinct visual identity and connection to its surroundings and community.
Scale has become an important part of my practice. Moving from studio painting into murals allows artwork to become part of an environment rather than simply exist within it. Architecture becomes the canvas, and elements such as distance, movement, perspective, landscape, and the way people circulate through a space become part of the composition.
My work often develops in response to place. Rather than treating public art as an isolated image, I consider the character of the location, the community that interacts with it, and the architectural conditions of the site. My goal is to create work that is visually engaging from a distance while also offering details and discoveries that reward closer viewing.
Working throughout South Florida has strongly influenced the way I think about color, natural environments, coastal landscapes, architecture, culture, and public space. At the same time, projects throughout the United States and internationally have allowed me to adapt my work to very different settings and audiences.
Collaboration is also an important part of my practice. Through my work as an artist, curator, and art director, I have collaborated with developers, hospitality groups, cultural organizations, festivals, brands, other artists, and community stakeholders. These experiences have reinforced my belief that successful public art should maintain a strong artistic voice while also understanding the environment it becomes part of.
Whether working on a canvas or an 80-foot architectural surface, I approach each project with the same objective: to create artwork that is memorable, thoughtfully connected to its setting, and capable of changing the way people experience a place.
